The highly anticipated debut album from Stream TXTs debut album‘Share this article, TXT, has officially arrived. The Dream Chapter: STAR mini album released by Big Hit marks the start of TXT’s journey in the industry. As previously reported, the group also referred to as TOMORROW x TOGETHER is made up of the following members: Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyn and Hueningkai.
“CROWN,” the catchy lead single sets the precedence for the entire project with its vibrant music video release. The upbeat track’s visual features the group flexing their dancing skills alongside their unique vocals. In an official press release, Big Hit notes that the track pinpoints the growing pains of the members as they’ve gotten older. The clip illustrates this with the appearance of sprouting crowns on each of the boys’ heads.
The five-track album begins with “Blue Orangeade,” a synth-heavy track about meeting your opposite, followed by “CROWN”. Up next is “Our Summer,” a relaxed listen produced by The Futuristics who have worked with Halsey and Selena Gomez in the past. “Cat & Dog” is packed with marimba melodies on top of an experimental trap beat. Closing out the album is “Nap of a star,” a slow, harmonious song which features an electric guitar.
At the moment, pre-orders of The Dream Chapter: STAR have surpassed 100,000 copies within three days in Korea . TXT’s first album is a look into K-pop‘s rise to being a part of the mainstream music conversation. Without a doubt, this path was forged by group’s like Big Hit’s BTS and is being led by group’s like NCT 127, BLACKPINK and more.
