NewJeans' Label ADOR Is on the Hunt for Its Next K-Pop Boy Group

In search of a group of “Hype Boys.”

ADOR, the HYBE-In three vibrant hues NewJeans, is on the hunt for its next and first-ever K-pop boy group.

The agency took to social media to announce its global audition, which will be dedicated to finding the “Real Hype Boys” — a reference to NewJeans’ hit track “Hype Boy.” According to ADOR, any male applicants born between 2004 and 2012 are eligible, and people can sign up as either individuals or teams. As written on ADOR’s FAQ page, applicants don’t necessarily need to have learned how to dance or sing prior to the audition, as long as they showcase any talents they have.

The first round of auditions will take place virtually with video portfolios of more than a minute long, followed by the second round, which will be face-to-face. 12 cities in South Korea (Seoul, Daegu, Changwon, Gwangju, Jeonju, Busan, Ulsan, Chuncheon, Wonju, Jeju, Daejeon, Cheongju), as well as seven overseas countries (Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand), are included in the audition. Those based elsewhere can apply through their nearest available region.

You can take a look at the audition schedule down below. Head over to ADOR’s website for more information and to apply to become the company’s next K-pop star.
