It’s interesting to see how Martha Stewart Martha Stewart's Old School Tip To Achieving Voluminous Hair Will Always Reign Supreme hair choices by returning to the most old-school technique that hairstylists still swear by: Velcro rollers.

As per usual, Stewart took to Instagram with a photo where she was seen “getting ready for a special project.” She was dressed smartly in all black in a makeup chair alongside makeup artist chair alongside makeup artist who snapped a quick pic of the star giving us an undeserved peek at the face she beat beyond heaven and earth. The three XL purple velcro rollers sitting pleasantly in the icon’s hair make the photo even more glamorous.

Velcro rollers were specifically big in the ’90s and used to create feathery curls and can serve as the cult-fave blowout look of the time period. It’s amazing how simple methods like Velcro rollers can add volume and bounce to hair. Often, these tried and true methods outperform high-tech tools.

While it isn’t surprising that Stewart still uses this technique, it’s refreshing to know that TikTok didn’t have a hand in this greatness. These tips have been around and will stay around.
