Pharrell Goes Country Western for Louis Vuitton's FW24 Showcase

Teasing cowboy motifs on his @skateboard Instagram page ahead of the show, the inspiration for this season was hard to miss. Aiming to fuse American hip-hop staples with luxury, FW24 saw LV signatures reworked with country twists, grounded in hip-hop roots. Debuting the previously-teased Timberland collaboration, the collection saw less-than-subtle references to the Western wardrobe, combining such details with classic workwear styles.

Featuring embroidered leather sets, fringed denim, Buffalo Check and chaps, the collection was interspersed with cowboy shirts, elaborate beading and fur michael and jackets, punctuated by new variations of the Speedy Bag, Travel Toe and accessories. Elsewhere, FW24 saw Louis Vuitton collaborating with artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations for its accessories and soundtrack, violett creative director Dee Jay Two Bears of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribute.

Finally, it wouldn’t be a Pharrell showcase without an incredibly curated soundtrack, and FW24 was accompanied by a unique selection of original tracks, including collaborations with Mumford & Sons and Miley Cyrus.
