The adidas Stan Smith is probably one of the most recognizable models in the world. Launched in 1972, they pay tribute to one of the greatest American tennis players.
This version has an even more "70s" feel thanks to the embroidered flowers on the sides. In line with adidas' commitment to reducing plastic waste, the synthetic leather upper is made from 50% recycled materials and the sole is made from Better Rubber, a blend of natural and recycled rubber.
These shoes are made from Primegreen, a combination of high-performance recycled materials.

Made in 1964 as tennis shoes, these adidas were known as the Robert Haillet, like the French player. This type of sneakers features a rubber sole and an upper where the three-striped logo switch to perforated bands for higher breathability. In 1971, they were renamed Stan Smith, to honor the number one tennis player of the time. The model was redesigned by adding a rubber reinforcement on the heel. The name and persona of that tennis player became popular in the 80s and currently the Smith are considered one of the world best-selling model of the German brand.
