Now seen regularly throughout the sneaker world, GORE-TEX fabrics offer total wind and water resistance, meaning you don’t have to worry about how the weather’s looking before you head on out. New Balance recently decked out their popular 57/40 in the weather resistant fabric and gave it a stealthy triple black colourway to create an excellent winter sneaker, what a pair!

Nike’s highly-coveted ACG (All Conditions Gear) line has recently made a huge resurgence, therefore it’s no surprise that some of the legendary footwear offerings from over the years have also been remade for the current market. The Nike ACG Air Mowabb was designed by Tinker Hatfield and drew influence from the Nike Air Huarache, beefing it up into a more winterised and trail-ready silhouette. If you’re looking for a pair of versatile beaters that will work with almost anything, these are the winter sneakers for you.

While we haven’t seen this silhouette for a few years, OG sneakerheads will likely remember the Nike Air Max 90 Sneakerboot with fond memories. While it hasn’t yet officially released, we couldn’t leave the upcoming Yeezy NSLTD Boot out of this list, purely because it resembles something you might find worn by a bounty hunter in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Nonetheless, these insulated (yes, that’s what NSLTD stands for) boots will no doubt be perfect for those icy-cold winter days! While they might not be too easy to get hold of when they finally do release, we reckon if anyone’s lucky enough to grab these, they’re sorted for the next few winters.
