We first got a hint of this prix release when Vinicius Jr. was seeing wearing the 1998 kit in a Nike Zoom Kd 9 Black White. However now we have a much better look thanks to some leaked Nike product imagery. It appears that two versions of the jersey will be released: the classic Nike Brazil 1998 Reissue Jersey, and an EX version, Tokyo pays homage to the player of the tournament, Ronaldo, and bears the iconic number 9 on the front and back.

The quality and attention to detail in the leaked imagery are remarkable. Nike seems to be honouring this classic design and it pays off, with the re-issue looking like it came straight out the archive. Many of the retro elements of the shirt have been left untouched, such as the thick 90s-style neckline and embroidered Swoosh and Brazil crest detailing. However, some parts of the shirt have been updated for the modern wearer. The most exciting update is the use of Dri-Fit technology, offering additional comfort in contrast to the original, more heavyweight 1998 jersey material.
