Finally, after months and months of delays and waiting for what was being called the 'release of the year' for 2021, the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle is dropping this month in the coveted "Sail" and "Off Noir" colourways. We really hope this is the final time we say this, because we can't wait to finally get our hands on these uber cool kicks.

Chitose Abe's VaporWaffle silhouette has taken the world by storm. Coming after the LD Waffle, the VaporWaffle first dropped in the "Black/White" and "Royal Fuchsia" colourways back in 2020, and the demand has increased ever since. The new silhouette introduced some new features to the Nike sneaker, including a split sole at the heel of the shoe that looks a lot like a pair of lips, and a double-stacked Swoosh design and layered lacing system.

Despite being a rather DC3729 design on paper, the sacai VaporWaffle is an extremely clean pair, especially when coming in these two monochromatic colourways. Unlike some of the previous pairs, these iterations are coming with nylon uppers, rather than mesh, with the addition of suede and leather overlays. On both pairs, you can find a gum outsole underfoot.

Nike branding complemented with reminders of the sacai collaboration feature on the sneaker, and the layered tongues make for a futuristic design. The "Triple White" colourway is our personal favourite, however the "Triple Black" has certainly grown on us in the time that we've been waiting for these.
