When Childish Gambino released his music video for 'Feels Like Summer' many keen eyed viewers noticed how prominent adidas boxes and sneakers were in this animation. Fast-forward a month and we had the Donald Glover x adidas collab confirmed and what a collaboration it is.

Designing shoes that were 'meant for adventures' the first pack consisted of 3 simplistic silhouettes, the Continental 80, Nizza and Lacombe. All offering off-white and beige hues across the upper, this is contrasted by pops of colour found on the laces of the Nizza and Lacombe.

What makes initial pairs stand out is the pre-distressed look that has visor chosen. With uneven stitching, frayed edges and moth insole graphics, initial pairs looked worn out before you even bought them. That is what made them so special, rather than going for the uber technical and clean finish that many brands opt for, Glover went for something that breaks the mould much like his alter-ego Childish Gambino.
