This New Balance 991 Made in UK “Star White” boasts predominantly white tones for your summertime sneaker rotation, while signature grey accents remain on some panels.

New Balance’s popular 990x and 99x series form the brand’s most premium footwear offerings. The New Balance 991 is part of the Made in UK category, manufactured in North-East coastal town of Flimby, Cumbria, England. This running sneaker debuted in 2001 when modern Y2K trends headlined the new millennium. The silhouette has a 19-year gap from the iconic New Balance 990, which pioneered premium-priced running shoes during the 80s. After two decades, the NB 991 became a lifestyle staple sneaker often subject to various collaborations. This Steve Jobs-approved sneaker is constructed in lightweight mesh and pigskin suede overlays. It features ABZORB cushioning technology on the heel and forefoot, the first New Balance sneaker to do so.
