With adidas terminating Kanye West’s Yeezy contract in October 2022, some mysterious sample pairs are yet to be unveiled. The Yeezy Boost 700 V4 “Triple Black” surfaced after the two parties split up, remaining a mystery unless adidas decides to debut the silhouette. This colourway comes in a blacked-out rendition that hides all of the details of the shoe.

The Yeezy 700 series is Kanye West’s “dad shoe” entry together with the Yeezy 500. Introduced in 2017, it is one of the most successful footwear lines from the adidas Yeezy label. There are currently five total models, including the 700, 700 V2, 700 V3, MNVN, and MNVN Laceless. While the shoe is chunky, the full-length Boost foam inside the EVA midsole delivers maximum comfort and cushioning all day. Through the years, the Yeezy 700 got slimmer and more streamlined, like the 700 V3. This Yeezy Boost 700 V4 seems to take the laceless design route, as seen on the sample pairs. It uses the same construction as the 700 V3, which flaunts a Primeknit upper base with a mesh collar and a foam exoskeleton. With the uncertainty surrounding the rest of the Yeezy inventory, we’ll have to find out soon if any of these pairs will see the light of day.

This colourway comes in a stealthy triple black makeover that hides any details on the shoe. The recognisable foam exoskeleton comprises most of the upper construction, with cored-out windows to expose the knit base and allow air to flow. Its minimalistic design would make this a perfect slip-on sneaker alongside the Yeezy Foam Runner. Boost cushioning is encased within the midsole, providing bouncy cushioning with a stable ride.
