Dior and Birkenstock Ready More Luxury Mules For Summer

Original Article - Clogcore isn’t going anywhere for 2023 - in fact, it's only getting more bougie. With more brands entering the fold this year (we’re looking at you, UGG and Dr. Martens), Birkenstock had to remind everyone that it was still the reigning champ of mules, and what better way to do it than by teasing its second Dior collection.

Taking to Instagram, Dior footwear designer Thibo Denis teased three new colourways that were to be included in the collection, building on the super-luxe beige and grey palette that graced the styles last year. Though the initial collab sold out pretty much instantly, the next instalment looks to challenge things somewhat, with a slew of colourful options - neon yellow, mint and khaki - taking centre stage in 2023.

Posting only the soles of the shoes, a barely-visible backstrap hints that the Tokio mule will be making a comeback for this round, though the models are still yet to be confirmed. Whether they’ll feature any embroidery is also still to be determined, but a second slide suggests that the pairs will arrive in a suede build this time around, and right now there’s no sign of felted options.
