This could have been the final Jordan silhouette!
The Nike Air Jordan 8 was first released in 1993. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls had just achieved their first three-peat and Jordan had just announced his early retirement and the beginning of his new career in professional baseball.
Had it not been for Nike's desire to continue the Jordan Brand legacy even without the man himself, and without Michael Jordan's eventual return to basketball in 1995, the history of Jordan trainers might have been entirely different!
Another Jordan trainer designed by Tinker Hatfield, this time it seems the designer was more focused on creating an exciting looking shoe rather than solely focused on performance. Straps run across the shoe to hold the foot in place and a standout midsole make this shoe stand out from other releases from Jordan brand.
If there's one thing to be said about the design of the Air Jordan 8, it's that the shoe perfectly embodies what early 90s footwear was all about. The silhouette is chunky, bold and came in a number of bright colourways such as the iconic Nike Air Jordan 8 Aqua.
Despite its cult popularity, we have not seen many resale releases of the Air Jordan 8. To make sure you don't miss out on any future Nike sneaker drops, make sure you hit our notification icon so you're the first to know about any restocks and releases!
