The Swoosh is no stranger to updating older models with the Nike Air Force 1 Low Red Since 82 being a prime example. Since its release back in ’95, the silhouette has seen the drawing table on many different occasions, with fresh new designers taking the knife to Sergio Lozano’s iconic creation.
This most recent version of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Red Since 82 Toggle takes a more utilitarian approach, adding further bulk via an additional lacing system. While the side panel construction remains mostly untouched, the vulnerable suede has been swapped out for a durable canvas, giving the shoe a rugged finish. The additional cord-lacing system provides further lockdown making these even more trail-ready than its previous ’95 release. Your standard acg webbing has been swapped out for a heavy ripstop and that is where you can find the toggle system anchored into the smaller lace loops. What has remained are your regular hits of Nike branding, including a beige mini-Swoosh and tongue logo in an orange and silver makeover. This “Metallic Silver” colourway will ensure you stand out during your expeditions, whether that be on the mountain or the high street.
